Shelbys Leadership Academy, aspires to provide our youth with the highest level of professional entrepreneurial skills by offering the most personal attention and customer service at a fair price. We take pride in our youth and strive to maintain their level of entrepreneur to their highest standards. Through our attention to learning and constant communication, Shelbys has built and maintained long term business relationships with our partners. We look to further build on these relationships by continuing to strive to better our skills. Tonia Shelby is a proud certified minority and woman-owned business located in Southfield, MI. Tonia is the Cleaning Expert Organizer (C.E.O.) of Shelbys Cleaning Services, LLC. Her belief is "Nothing is ever achieved without enthusiasm in cleaning". Established in 2006, Tonia’s green cleaning tips has provided healthy resources and interactive forums for clients and social media fans to improve their health. Shelbys Cleaning Services, LLC is highly recognized for their Detail, Quality, and Eco-Friendly services.
With Twenty-two years as a Business Education Teacher, currently in Detroit Public Schools
Community District, teaching student’s business
principles and how to start their own business.
Her belief is “I am Somebody Amazing”.
Established in 2016, Tonia’s leadership has gained full attention to her students via a segment on “Live in the D” Channel 4 via Junior Achievement on the aspects of starting their own businesses. My passion is to help our youth engage in entrepreneur at an early age to jump start their goals and endeavors for the future.
Tonia has a Masters Degree from Wayne State University in Educational Leadership Administration and a Bachelors Degree from Eastern Michigan University in Business Services & Technology Secondary Education. Some of her accomplishments consist of Communities In Schools Outstanding Educator, 2009, Who’s Who Among High School Teachers, 2009,Wayne State University Upward Bound Program Outstanding Female Instructor, 2001, Honor Student, Wayne State University, 1998-1999, and Honor Student, Eastern Michigan University, 1996.
Tonia is a proud member of Michigan Association for Female Entrepreneurs (MAFE), Greater Grace Temple Entrepreneurs, Detroit Young Professionals (DYP), and Association of Residential Cleaning Services International (ARCSI).
